After a long period of\ncontinuous decline as a result of the economic downturn in Greece, the sales of\nelectrical and electronic home appliance retailer chains are on the rise in\n2017-2018.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The drastic decline in\ndemand in the past years has brought about major changes and rearrangements in\nthe market for home appliance retailers, both on the ‘corporate’ side of the\nchain and on the networks of purchasing groups.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In the period\n2017-2018, this market recorded a cumulative increase of 14%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to Konstantinos\nPalaiologos, ICAP’s Senior Consultant Financial Studies, who oversaw this\nsector study, the large multinationals have already infiltrated the domestic\nelectrical \/ electronic retail market. The networks of large organized chain\nstores have been expanding rapidly over the last 20 years. However, the deep\nrecession that has prevailed in recent years has led to the disruption of\nseveral traditional chains, while the large chains that have remained on the\nmarket have merged stores and shrunk their network in recent years, in the\ncontext of rationalization of their spending and general corporate\nrestructuring. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
