Academic Tutor at the University of Frankfurt am Main (1983-1985) and assistant at the Max-Planck-Institute (1985-1987). Adjunct professor for capital markets law ALBA (2001- 2015) and for banking law and capital markets law in the Postgraduate Course for jurists at the University of Piraeus. Legal advisor to the Bank of Greece (since 1989) and since 2012 senior legal advisor to the Board. Member of the European Financial Market Lawyers Group (EFMLG), operating under the auspices of the ECB, since 1999, of the BoD of the European Society for Banking and Financial Law (AEDBF) since 2003 (Chairman 2012-2015) and the Board of Directors of the Hellenic European Law Association (FIDE-Greece) since 2003 (since 2018 General Secretary). Chair of the Hellenic Financial Law Association (since 2009). He has been member of the BoD of KEPE (Center of Planning and Economic Research) (1995-2001) and of the Hellenic Deposit & Investment Guarantee Fund (2009-2017). Legal counsel of the Supervisory Board of the Hellenic Corporation of Assets and Participations S.A. (HCAP) since its establishment in October 2016. He has been the legal counsel of the Government of Cyprus for the harmonisation with the European Legislation (2000-2004) and member of various legislative Groups advising on the drafting of Greek Banking and Securities Laws; he also participated in several legal groups in the ECB and the European Commission advising on matters pertaining to the regulation of Banking and Financial Markets and to payment and securities settlement systems in the EU (since 1992).
