Ioannis Kamitsos is a Director in the Financial Risk Management department of KPMG Greece. Prior to this, he worked as a Manager in the Financial Services Risk Management department of EY Greece and as a Quantitative Developer in Bloomberg LP, New York, USA. He has over 11 years of professional experience in financial services, focusing on risk modeling across various types (IFRS9/IRB credit risk, market risk, operational risk), front office derivative pricing models, implementation of EU-wide and BoG Stress Testing frameworks, incorporation of ESG in risk management frameworks, and implementation of regulatory frameworks.
Ioannis holds a Diploma degree in electrical and computer engineering from the National Technical University of Athens, Greece, (2006), and a M.A. and Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Princeton University, Princeton, NJ, USA, (2009 and 2012 respectively).
