ICAP 1.0: ICAP HELLAS LTD (1964-2006)

Our 1st era, when the foundations for the success of our company were laid. It all started in 1964, when an ambitious group of young Greek and foreign businessmen founded ICAP HELLAS LTD. and published the first Greek Financial Directory.

The creation of the Business Information Division also marked a turning point, as we developed the largest business databank in Greece.
With steady steps, and adopting as core values, Quality and Innovation, we established ourselves as Leaders in the Business Information market.

ICAP Group of Companies 2.0: (2007 – 2021)

ICAP 2.0 has been an era of significant achievements and growth, setting the stage for even greater success in the future.
In 2007, the SEEF Fund of Global Finance acquired a majority stake in ICAP, opening new horizons for development and growth. In this transformative era, we expanded our business into Bulgaria, Romania and Cyprus, and achieved to exclusively represent Dun & Bradstreet in the four countries of our Hub.

Further, enhancing the confidence of our clients, we proudly emerged as:

• A Credit Rating Agency (CRA) certified by European Securities and Markets Authority – ESMA.
• An External Credit Assessment Institution (ECAI) by the Bank of Greece.

Key milestones of ICAP Group of Companies 2.0 era include:

• Publishing of Leading Editions
• Forming a strategic partnership with Google to strengthen our digital presence.
• Introducing the True Leaders business awards in Greece, Bulgaria, and Romania, celebrating business excellence in the region.
• The acquisition and absorption of IBHS allowed us to further strengthen our presence and expand our range of services.
• The establishment of “Risk Training Institute”, which offers specialized professional training in the field of Risk and Credit management.

ICAP CRIF 3.0: (2022-…)

Our third era is marked with the successful acquisition of ICAP S.A. and its subsidiaries by the renowned Italian company CRIF. Subsequently, our new identity is reformed to ICAP CRIF Group of Companies. An incredible journey of growth and innovation has started, bringing CRIF’s global solutions to the four countries where we operate in.

With advanced platforms, cutting-edge Analytics, and a comprehensive ESG service suite, we are setting new standards in the industry.

We’re also proud to unveil a new generation of Ratings, reflecting our commitment to excellence and innovation.
