Simona Petrescu has more than 17 years of experience in coordinating the operational activities of UniCredit Bank in Romania and until 2023 she was Operations Director, being responsible for the implementation of an extensive transformation program, involving people, processes and technologies, aligned with the Bank’s strategy and the dynamics of regulations impacting the operational area.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Since last year she has taken on the role of ESG Director and is responsible for setting and implemention of the local ESG strategy and for continuing UniCredit’s commitments: to support the clients in their own just and fair transition, adapting risk and financing policies and to empower communities to progress and navigate the social and environmental transition, through sustainable strategic actions, promoting diversity and inclusion within own corporate governance.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

She is licenced economist since 2000 and has recently enhaced her knowledge on ESG by attending specific programs of UniCredit Group, SDA Bocconi, Global Reporting Initiative – GRI and Deloitte, as well as by actively participating in conferences on sustainability topics.<\/p>\n
