Secretary of State within the Ministry of Economy, Digitalization, Entrepreneurship and Tourism
Gianina has over 30 years of experience in the financial and banking sector, including 21 years within BRD Groupe Société Générale. She held managerial roles for 15 years across various departments and regions, covering multiple areas such as sales, quality and innovation, process optimization, lending, restructuring, and loan recovery. In these roles, she led teams of over 300 employees and managed credit portfolios exceeding EUR 1.5 billion.
During the previous financial crisis, Gianina coordinated the Restructuring and Recovery Department at BRD and chaired the Non-Performing Loans Committee within the Romanian Banking Association.
Gianina has been a member of the Turnaround Management Association Romania for over ten years, actively contributing to the amendments of the Insolvency Law in 2014 and the Restructuring and Insolvency Directive in 2022. She is also a member of the Independent Directors Association of Romania and a graduate of the corporate governance programs of ENVISIA Boards of Elite.
Since 2016, Gianina has been an entrepreneur, working as a financial consultant for companies on financing/refinancing projects, as well as financial and operational restructuring initiatives. She has been involved in mergers and acquisitions, as well as transactions related to the sale and purchase of non-performing loans and assets.
In 2021, she served for six months as an advisor to the Ministry of Economy, focusing on the restructuring of state-owned companies, and was a member of the Board of Directors of CFR Marfă. Since May 2021, she has been a member of the Board of Directors of Termoenergetica S.A.
Appointed as Secretary of State within the Ministry of Economy, Digitalization, Entrepreneurship and Tourism by decision of the Prime Minister on April 17, 2026, Gianina actively contributes to the development and implementation of public policies in the fields of economy and digitalization.
Christian Bogaru has a broad experience in assisting and representing local and international clients in several commercial transactions. Mr. Bogaru provides legal advice and legal representation in the areas of corporate law, mergers and acquisitions, restructuring and reorganization, up to intellectual property issues and specific IT law (blockchain & crypto assets). Christian Bogaru also assists and represents private companies and investors in complex mandates in the field of aviation and renewable energy regarding the development, analysis and implementation of photovoltaic, wind, biomass and energy projects, biogas.
